How to overcome the dilemma of setting goals?

I was asking myself a question everybody is actually asking in their heads, and the flow of its thoughts attacks with no previous alert, “What I’m doing? Why I’m doing what I’m doing? I believe I can do more, Where is my passion?, I can’t do this, I’m lost” and much more of these I believe.

Answering this line of thought can take hours, days or even months, however, I will be very short listing some productive thoughts that might help and you can do the rest.

First of all, you need to understand that this is totally normal, no matter the age group you belong to, it is always okay to feel it, so make yourself comfortable with how you feel. No judgments here.

Second, you also need to understand that your goals and ambitions will change as you grow and experience things. This is also totally normal. What you want now is totally different of what you wanted 5 years ago.

Third, there is no need to take decisions right now, don’t get pressured by the environment. Protect your bubble of influence and focus on yourself despite what is around you. Take your time.

Forth, be grateful of what you have and list everything you have done in your career or life goals. You don’t know how much this is so effective, it trains your mind to think positive and have hope for a better future.

Fifth, stop punishing yourself for things that you think it is your fault, because it is not. Things meant to be anyway, learn how to be adaptive and flexible, life is not a straight line. Be kind to yourself.

Sixth, now you are ready, start exploring things, look around you, try new things, seek new circles, new jobs, get out of the comfort zone. You will never know unless you try. At least if you didn’t find what you want yet, you will know what you don’t want, and this is a super win too.

Seventh, and since 7 is the perfect number of completion, it is the most important for me; please take it slow, don’t rush things, and enjoy the small milestones, celebrate them, share it with others and keep your aim high. Sky is always the limit.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments,
Have a wonderful week and enjoy being yourself in every moment!
